Otome☆Magica: One Year Later
Sweet Jesus, it’s been a year?
It’s always hard not to get caught up in regret looking back. I’ve definitely got more than my share of what-could-have-beens regarding this little endeavor, but those same things can be used as the basis for improvement for the year to come. I don’t think I’ll ever not feel like I could have done more, but it’s kind of hard to find time for the otome game you decided to make on a whim when you’re juggling school and the rest of your life.
Still, even if we haven’t come as far as we may have liked to, we have come a long way from a semi-random posting to LiveJournal. At the time of this post this blog has 233 followers, and each and every one of you are what motivates me to create the best product possible. The game has a complete voice cast and if any of them are reading this, I am extremely sorry for being completely off the radar for the past I-can’t-even-remember. We’ll be in touch when I’ve got more to work off of; I openly admit that I casted the game way too soon and I hope you’ll bear with me.
Other than that though, all I can really say is that I have the deepest gratitude for all of you that have stuck with us and will hopefully continue to stick with us until this insanity comes to a close. Even if my lack of regular posting may cause some to think otherwise, I am very much committed to seeing this thing through and can only ask for your continued patience. So on behalf of myself and the whole Otome☆Magica team, thanks again and stay tuned!

will kyousuke be in this game as a love interest?
The current goal is to just release the equivalent of the first episode of the Madoka Magica TV series so while Kyouko/Kyousuke doesn’t show up until episodes 4/5 I do have a plan to sneak him in. So to answer your question, “yes” (quotations needed).
If by some miracle I get the means to make the full game without driving myself or the rest of the team partially to completely insane and/or broke, then for sure he’d be a love interest. What’s an otome game without the sarcastic bad boy? ;)

First off, thanks for contacting us and sincerest apologies to everyone about the recent inactivity. Development has unfortunately been on something of a hiatus on account of most of the team being tied up with other obligations (mainly school). However, winter break is only a couple weeks away and we’ll ideally be able to pick things up again once that kicks in.

I know it’s been a while since my last update. Rest assured the game is still being made, but we are taking a somewhat impromptu hiatus while we work on a side project to the main game (hint: the picture’s relevant). Plus school’s back in session for me so updates were probably going to be more sporadic anyway. Still, I’ll do my best to post interesting Otome★Magica-related stuff here. Semi-random 200(!?) followers celebratory post! Say whaaaaat.
There’s something about seeing Madoka this assertive that’s both mildly unsettling and oddly appealing at the same time.
Character Profile: Sayato Miki
Age: 14
Bio: Having literally grown up together, Sayato is Madoka’s oldest and arguably best friend (though she’d never admit something like that). Headstrong and impulsive ever since childhood, Sayato is now the up-and-coming hotshot of the school’s kendo team, though his general awkwardness around the opposite sex prevents him from reaching the popularity that skills like his could confer. That said, there are two exceptions to this rule: Kyouko Kamijou and Madoka. He’s had a slight crush on Kamijou-chan for a while, and as for Madoka, well, they’ve known each other for too long for him to see her romantically.
